My Sensory Map of Regina

My Surrounding

When we first arrived in our new home, we were struck by the vastness and prominence of the skies in the prairies. I understand why they call Saskatchewan "land of the living skies."

Sight

This is from our summer escape to see some mountains. It took me some time to adjust to the unobstructed 360 degree views in the prairies. Banff was a welcomed change of scenery.

Sound

This is our cute, noisy neighbour since we moved here in the summer.

Touch

I love the feel of the summer air here

Smell

I love Wascana Lake and biking around its trails. This is like an artery that runs through the city and provides great scenery and recreational space. It's also home to A LOT OF Geese and their poop.

Notice

Someone did a pretty cool decoration onneighborhood a tree. This is one of the first things I noticed on my walks in my neighbourhood this summer.

Cold

January Morning Frost. This is what -30 degree looks like
