Founders Sports Park is a 101 acre park with a variety of recreation facilities including six soccer fields, a nine hole disc golf course, eight baseball/softball fields, four sand volleyball courts, two half-court basketball courts, one bocce ball court, and a Fishing Pier. The Farmington Hills Ice Arena and Riley Skate Park are also located at Founders Sports Park.

Ice Arena

The 70,000 square foot Ice Arena consists of two ice surfaces with a total seating capacity of 1,200 people. The arena offers concession facilities, locker rooms, meeting and party rooms as well as administrative offices. The facility provides both recreational and competitive skating opportunities. Skaters enjoy our youth and adult hockey programs, public skating,  Learn-to-Skate , and  figure skating

Founders Park Fishing Pier

The fishing pier is the perfect location to offer interpretive programming and hands-on learning activities. The Farmington Hills Nature Center hosts programs that focus on pond ecology, shoreline restoration, wildlife conservation, and the sustainability of the watershed. Camp participants and students in the After School Program take part in pond dipping, bird and marine biology, and fishing. The Optimist Club of Farmington/Farmington Hills and the City of Farmington Hills Special Services Department conducts learn-to-fish classes on the pier as part of the Project Fish Program.

Founders Fishing Pier is also open to the public for catch and release fishing. Please follow all Fishing Rules as described in the  Michigan DNR Fishing Guide.  

Background on the fishing pier

The Founders Fishing Pier project was fully funded through a grant from the Bosch Community Fund. The project involved; constructing an ADA accessible boardwalk, fishing pier, seating areas, and interpretive signs.

Riley Skate Park

The Riley Skate Park entrance.

Riley Skate Park's 29,000 square foot all-concrete park is the area’s (FREE) premiere hotspot for skateboarders and in-line skaters of all levels.

Farmington Hills Golf Club

Scenic greens at the FH Golf Club

The Farmington Hills Golf Club is a 175 acre, 18-hole golf course open April through November, weather permitting. The  driving range  has 32 stations, tees and two practice greens. A full service pro shop and  restaurant  are open to the public. Tee times can be scheduled by calling the number below.

Woodland Hills

Woodland Hills features primitive walking trails winding through the 74 acre park. The focus of this park is to allow the quiet observation of birds and animals in a variety of habitats. meadows, a hardwood forest, a pond, a river, and creek are all part of the natural wonders of this park.

The Hawk: Farmington Hills Community Center

The City’s state-of-the-art recreation and community center offers a full slate of activities for all ages. Amenities includes an  aquatic center ,  fitness center , performing arts theater, gymnasium, and  Makerspace . Head outdoors to utilize the track or test your skills on ten brand new  Pickleball courts . The aquatic center also includes a Party Room that’s available for rental for  birthdays, bar and bat mitzvahs , and any other celebration you can think of!

Costick Activities Center

This 67,000 square foot facility is the home of the Department’s administrative offices. Its facilities serve the recreational needs of the residents with a swimming pool, three soccer fields, multi-purpose gymnasium, meeting rooms, and banquet rooms.

Longacre House

From the running stonewall fence to the lush gardens, the historical Longacre House offers charm and elegance for your special events. The house is open to weddings, theme parties, receptions, business meetings, banquets and social gatherings. Additionally, many Special Services community events and classes are held at the house.

Jon Grant Community Center

Jon Grant Center at Fire Station 3

Jon Grant Community Center was built in conjunction with the Farmington Hills Fire Department’s Fire Station #3. The Jon Grant Community Center offers classes, programs, and rental opportunities to residents of Farmington Hills as well as surrounding communities. The Community Center delivers the latest in high-tech equipment and unsurpassed customer service. It is a great space for meetings, shows, birthday parties, showers and other gatherings. William Grace Dog Park

The William Grace Dog Park is a great space for your dog to socialize with other dogs and run off a lot of energy. The park is located on the old William Grace Elementary School grounds, which offers about 4 acres of fenced in area. The dog park is divided into two areas - one for large dogs and one for smaller dogs up to 22 lbs. Entrance to the park is controlled by a fob system. The dog park is open year-round, has water for your dogs and benches for your relaxation.
