5th Annual Lakefield Chocolate Creations Festival

This year’s  Lakefield Chocolate Creations Festival  invites you to indulge in delicious treats, support local businesses, and cast your vote for the best creations in town.

Help us crown this year’s Chocolate Champions while supporting local businesses. Proceeds will be used to support local organizations and families in need. Stay tuned for a list of participating locations and their exciting creations. Dates: January 31st to February 18th, 2025 How it Works: - Join the fun by visiting participating Lakefield establishments. - Purchase their specialty chocolate creations, and don’t forget to cast your vote for your favourite! There are three categories: Food, Drink & Creativity! - Voting is easy and can be done at any participating establishment or online through our  Facebook  or  Instagram  page.

PolarFest Youth Shinny

Friday, January 31st, 2025 9:00AM to 10:00AM: ages 9 and under 10:00AM to 11:00AM: ages 10 to 13 11:00AM to 12 Noon: ages 13 and older at the Ennismore Community Centre (553 Ennis Road, Ennismore) Cost: $6.00 per player. Friday, January 31st, 2025 at 6:30PM at Chemong Lodge (764 Hunter Street, Bridgenorth)  Help kick off the 18th Anniversary of PolarFest! Join us at the Opening Ceremony and enjoy an epic fireworks show brought to you by Enbridge Gas in partnership with Supernova Fireworks! While you're there, enjoy a bonfire, hot chocolate and coffee courtesy of our gracious hosts Chemong Lodge.

Candlelight Skate

Two time slots available: - 5:30pm to 7:00pm; and - 7:30pm to 9:00pm

Guns & Hoses Charity Hockey Game

Friday, January 31st, 2025 from 8:00PM to 9:30PM at the Ennismore Community Centre (553 Ennis Road, Ennismore) Watch your local Police Officers take on the Selwyn Firefighters in a friendly charity hockey game.

Admission is a non-perishable food item or cash donation. Proceeds will be split between the Lakefield Food Bank and the Bridgenorth Food Bank.

Ice Sculptures in Bridgenorth

Saturday, February 1st, 2025 from 9:00AM to 4:00PM at Heritage Park (804 Ward Street. Bridgenorth) There will be a number of carvers present in Heritage Park using cultured ice to create sculpture for all to enjoy!  Bring the kids out and build a creation using the coloured blocks provided. The Chemung Lions will be on-site Saturday and Sunday from 10:00AM to 2:00PM giving out hot chocolate and cookies!

Polar Paddle

Saturday, February 1st, 2025 beginning at 1:00PM in downtown Lakefield (along Queen Street) Who would be crazy enough to paddle a canoe down the middle of a downtown street? We are! Register a team or come out and watch as teams of six push or pull canoes down Queen Street in Lakefield. The canoes will be on wheels and participants will be dressed in costumes.

Frosty 5K Run

Sunday, February 2nd, 2025 beginning at 9:00AM at the Service Ontario Building (133 Water Street, Lakefield) Come and brave the cold for 5km of beautiful riverside trail. Embrace the chill at the Frosty 5K, a winter run set to unlock the thrill of running amidst the frosty trails of Lakefield! This race is not about winning, but testing your limits in the dead of winter. All proceeds will be in support of the Lakefield Food Bank.
