Regional Resiliency & Recovery Roadmaps Program
Roadmaps Program Background
COVID-19 represents one of the greatest disruptions of our lifetimes, requiring our communities to partner across jurisdictional boundaries in order to effectively recover and solve shared problems. The Colorado COVID-19 Regional Resiliency and Recovery Roadmaps Program has brought together 16 Regional Community Teams made up of over 170 rural jurisdictions as well as non-governmental partners to prioritize and strategize around shared regional objectives. This 2-year planning and implementation Roadmaps Program will result in regionally-aligned and actionable strategies that will help Colorado's rural communities recover from COVID and be more resilient to future shocks and stressors.
This StoryMap provides an introduction to each of the 16 Regional Community Teams and the big-picture objectives that they are currently planning on pursuing as part of the Roadmaps program.
Get involved: We are taking an inclusive approach to the Roadmaps planning process (find out more here ). We envision that by identifying, including, and serving disproportionately impacted and socially or economically disadvantaged groups through the Roadmaps Program, these populations will be less vulnerable and less impacted during future shocks and stressors. We encourage community organizations to get involved in their region and/or in the planning process across regions. Please email either dola_roadmaps@state.co.us (for interest in multiple teams, with reference to the objectives and/or regions that you're interested in) or reach out directly to the contact listed within each individual team. DOLA staff will be happy to make facilitate discussion and introductions.
The Roadmaps Program is led by the Department of Local Affairs (DOLA), Colorado Resiliency Office in partnership with the Office of Economic Development and International Trade (OEDIT), the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment (CDLE), and Community Builders. This opportunity is funded by the U.S. Economic Development Administration.
