2020-2021 YDD Reengagement Grant Awards

In late September 2020 the Youth Development Division (YDD) announced a Request for Grant Applications. Applicants had the opportunity to apply towards two Reengagement Grants.

The mission of reengagement grants is to support community-based reengagement efforts to align education, employment, service providers, and community resources for disconnected youth.

2020-2021 Regional Reengagement Grant (RRG)

Is a collaborative focused grant that will help ensure a continuous connection for disconnected and under-attached youth ages 14-21 youth. Through regional collaboration, RRG awardees will build multi-community systems helping to ensure services and supports are connected, readily accessible, effective, and accountable. Within this grant regional reengagement efforts tailor service models to meet the needs of local communities, address the cultural and linguistic needs of traditionally underserved youth, and center service design on the needs of the youth they reconnect. The intent of this grant is to connect services across public and private organizations, schools, and the communities they serve.

Note: This grant is focused on serving YDD identified Priority Regions

2020-2021 Reengagement Opportunity Grant (ROG)

The focus of this grant is to ensure services and supports for disconnected and under-attached youth ages 14-21 are readily accessible, effective, and accountable. Reengagement Programs can tailor their service models to meet the needs of the local community, while addressing the cultural and linguistic needs of traditionally underserved youth and their families, and center service design on the needs of the youth they reconnect. As an awardee of a ROG you will be part of The Oregon Youth Reengagement Network, bringing together local reengagement efforts including schools, community-based organizations, community colleges, and other entities working collaboratively to reconnect disengaged youth and support students at risk of disconnection.
