Manju's Map Story

Manju lives in the southern Bhutanese dzongkhag [district] of Dagana. In the south of Bhutan, the elevation is less as the landscape descents – sometimes gently, sometimes dramatically – into the plains of the Indian states of Assam and West Bengal. The weather is warmer, wetter, and more verdant. However, the southern dzongkhags of Bhutan are among the poorest and least developed in the whole of the country.
