Sea Change Canada embraces the concept that all water is connected. Playing a foundational role for life on Earth. Our Ocean and freshwater sources are responsible for prosperous, healthy and diverse habitats and ecosystems. Sea Change Canada has a strong and diverse network of likeminded stakeholders and Coastal Champions who represent both oceanic and freshwater conservation, restoration, and advocacy initiaitves nation wide.
Canada is made up of rich and diverse rivers, wetlands, estuaries, and other aquatic habitats that are all connected to our ocean. In order to protect and sustain Canada's aquatic environments, we need to collectively work together towards establishing a conscious and sustainable future for our ocean and freshwater habitats.

Sea Change Canada's Coastal Champions present unique solutions to complex environmental issues faced by Canadian coastal communities. Sea Change Canada showcases our Coastal Champion partners by supporting their environmental leadership, education, community development, and capacity-building on our website.
Our Coastal Champion partners tackle a variety of fresh-water and oceanic issues facing Canada. Some examples of the diverse categories of environmental initiatives done by our environmental leaders include:

Indigenous peoples share deep and lasting connection with their lands, territories, and resources. Moreover, Indigenous people's notable and prosperous connection to Canada's rich coastal and ocean environments often provides a helping hand for many grass-root environmental groups nation wide.
