Blended overlays to help relief stand out
Part I used Ice Mountain Hillshade , & author John Nelson showed ArcGIS Desktop new Blend Mode to achieve much of the same out-of-the-box. He used Esri multi-resolution Terrain and Imagery, but a tweet had me try even better DEFRA 2 m. DTM I shown here .
Update: following on another John Nelson post, see the 2.5D Map psoter at the bottom.

That tweet photo showed a perspective view, so that led me to try various options displayed in this poster: note that these are screen shots from ArcGIS Pro desktop. And that the holes denote the incomplete coverage of DEFRA data, also seen in maps below.

This was also posted as web scenes, where Blend Mode isn't honoured yet, so here are the Esri World Imagery with DEFRA 2m. DTM at 75% transparency: Go ahead and fly around!

Blend mode was shown in maps for Part I, so this poster shows variations, again from desktop screenshots:

Here it is as a 2D web map, where the 2 m. resolution DTM show the detailed topography "through" the imagery in blend mode. And here I combined Ice Hillshade and DEFRA DTM in dual blend modes to achieve an even better rendering effect. Zoom and pan around!
Note that there is minor cloud cover, and 'faded' topography denotes the incomplete coverage of DEFRA data in 2019, with complete coverage planned for next year.
