1741 W Chicago Ave, Chicago, IL 60622 Jenny Hiser is a Chicago-based artist who creates dynamic artwork that blends aerosol, acrylics, silkscreen, and 3D elements. Inspired by urban and street art, her work is a vibrant celebration of color, detail, and artistic freedom, reflecting her passion for experimentation. Jenny’s second solo show at Chicago Truborn is titled “Rescue Me” and features colorful pop art portraits of all your favorite and most beloved famous dogs (and cats!). In collaboration with One Tail at a Time, there will be a two-week raffle with special neighborhood items to support OTAT’s remarkable mission of fostering and getting pets adopted in the Chicagoland area.

ENGAGE Projects is pleased to announce Cameron Gainer’s solo Chicago debut with our upcoming exhibition “Temporal Dispersions.” Using the open desert as his studio space, this new photo-based work elucidates enduring themes in Gainer’s art, addressing the ineffable nature of time and the mysteries of perception—recurrent themes that span his artistic career. Over the last two decades, Gainer has combined scientific and artistic inquiry in his expansive practice. His past works include using the world’s most light-sensitive camera to capture bioluminescence, casting time out of 4-billion-year-old meteorites, and painting photo-realistic canvases based on satellite images of impact craters named for notable artists, scientists, and thinkers. A conceptual landscape artist at heart, this recent work, the Temporal Dispersions, pushes the limits of photography in what Gainer calls “an interrogation of the photographic process and the representation of landscape at the edge of form.”

PORTALS : A glimpse into another worlds doorway. Featuring 13 artists’ door-sized “portals” on 4/4, 6-10 pm.

Here is a note from the curator! "This project began when I painted a "portal" over a boarded-up doorway, which sparked the desire to create more. That curiosity led me to wonder what an entire room filled with these pieces might look like. After sharing the idea with others, I found enough people who were just as excited and eager to join in."
