Kennydale Gateway
A proposed 4 story apartment complex with three (3) building and 385 residential units with at-grade courtyards and parking. The project site is near Barbee Mill and the Virginia Mason Athletic Center. (Completion in 2025)
LivAway Suites Hotel
A new 4 story 126-guest room hotel with surface parking. The proposed 59,711 square foot hotel is proposed along Park Ave N and shares a parking lot with Topgolf. (Completion in 2025)
Winco Foods
Proposed repurposing of the former Fry’s Electronics site located at 800 Garden Ave N into a grocery store. WinCo Foods would occupy approximately 104,337 square feet of the 151,840 square foot existing building and the remaining portion would be demised off to allow access to the existing truck dock. Approximately 650 parking spaces are proposed to remain. (Completion in 2025)
Willowcrest II
Willowcrest Phase II will provide 19 affordable housing units across five (5) new buildings in the Sunset neighborhood. The townhome-style units will be comprised of two- and three-bedroom layouts. The massing and aesthetics of the buildings will be similar to Phase I to the east of the site, creating a cohesive design across the two Willowcrest sites. (Completion TBD)
Solera Apartments
A new mixed use development with 651 multifamily residential units including 277 affordable units and 38,900 square feet of commercial space. The two (2) buildings range between five and seven stories and up to approximately 70 feet in height. (Completion in 2024)
Sunset Terrace Apartments
A new 6 story mixed use building with 108 apartment units and 2,000 square feet of commercial space. The building is approximately 70 feet in height with below ground parking. (Completed in 2024)
Sunset Gardens Apartments
A new 4 story multifamily project in the Sunset neighborhood. 100% of the 76 units are dedicated to affordable housing. Renton Housing Authority (RHA) offices are located on the ground floor totaling approximately 13,645 square feet which provide services to RHA residents in Renton. (Completed in 2024)
Towns on 12 th Townhomes
A proposed subdivision with 90 owner-occupied townhome units on a 6.55-acre site near the intersection of NE Sunset Blvd and Union Ave NE. The three-story multi-unit buildings will include a mix of three- and four-bedroom units. Integral features include protection of existing wetlands, retention of large trees, new frontage improvements along NE 12th St and NE Sunset Blvd, and provision of open space amenities across the site. (Completion in 2026)
Hilltop Heritage Elementary School
A new 2 story mass timber elementary school in the Renton School District. The 77,000 square foot elementary school is in the Highlands/Sunset area. In addition to the building, the site includes an outdoor classroom area, multipurpose playfield, hard/soft play areas, covered play area, 82 surface spaces, protected wetland area, and a school bus load/unload area. (Completed in 2023)
Camellia Court Apartments
A 6 story multi-family residential apartment complex with 72 dwelling units and a structured parking garage with parking for 72 vehicles. The unit mix will be comprised of 56 studios and 14 two-bedroom and three-bedroom units with massing similar to Merrill Gardens to the south. Vegetation will be incorporated into the building design and the street frontage improvements will include 12-foot-wide sidewalks with tree grates. (Completion in 2025)
King County Parks Renton Shop
A new Central Maintenance Facility for King County Parks and Recreation Division at 3005 NE 4th St. The Renton Shop includes a crew/administration building, a shop building, and multiple storage buildings, separate staff and visitor parking areas, fleet and equipment parking, and covered and uncovered storage. The new facility will provide improved function and space for shop operations, enhanced vehicle and pedestrian safety, better site circulation and flow, office space, meeting rooms, storage, and support planned growth. (Completion in 2025)
Watershed Apartments
A new 6 story, 66 feet high multifamily residential building with 145 affordable housing units. A pedestrian promenade is located along the west side of the site that will facilitate a future connection between S Grady Way to the existing Burnett Linear Park. (Completed in 2024)
Home Depot
Repurposing the former Sam’s Club site into a Home Depot with approximately 109,800 square feet of retail space and an outdoor garden area. (Completed in 2024)
Triton Towers
Addition of multifamily residential, supporting commercial/retail, and open space to an existing three building, seven story office development near the intersection of Talbot Rd S and S Grady Way. The proposed development will be multi-phased adding approximately 900 residential units and a total of 800,000 square feet of new space across five (5) new buildings adjacent to the existing office towers. (Completion TBD)
Longacres
The aim is to revitalize Boeing’s abandoned office campus and activate the 115-acre site with transit-oriented redevelopment including office updates along with new housing (3,458 residential units), retail, dining, recreational facilities, and open space amenities. (Completion in 2025)
UW Medicine Testing Lab
The University of Washington opened a 76,000 square foot medical testing lab in an existing office building at 1601 Lind Ave SW in the Valley area. The space includes five floors of testing lab facilities, support offices, and amenities for 700 on-site employees. The lab began operation on the first floor in 2021 and expanded to the entire building two years later. (Completed in 2023)
Grant Place Townhomes
Proposed multi-family development containing a unit lot subdivision with 36 townhomes. The development would be comprised of eight (8) separate multi-family residential structures. Access to the site is proposed via a new loop access drive extended from Grant Ave S. (Completion 2025)
