In Turkey, the eligibility criteria for the application to an undergraduate degree program are to hold a high school diploma and receive a good score from the national level university entrance examination that is organized by the Centre for Assessment, Selection, and Placement ( OSYM ). Thanks to my high score on this national level exam, which is similar to the SAT exam in the USA, I received a full-time tuition scholarship (the equivalent of 13,000 USD per year) from Bilkent University Archaeology Department in 2010.
