Critical Case Studies of a Present Plan
Urban and regional planning seeks to serve the public interest by addressing wicked problems--often entaglements of social, technological, and environmental issues. Since there are few straightforward answers, we learn best through cases! The fall 2022 History & Theory of Urban & Regional Planning class ( syllabus ) critically evaluated real plans, or came up with creative alternatives. Each includes at least one future scenario. We must envision possibilities to improve our future! This page shares each of their studies to improve prospects for urban and regional planning to address our known and emerging challenges. - Associate Professor Greg Griffin, PhD, AICP
