Hotspots of social activism in Kraków

Explore the history of civil society that is currently taking shape. Kraków, like other Polish cities, has been experiencing the intensification of social activism since 2020. The recent protests are aimed against violations of women's and LGBTQ+ rights, threats to the rule of law, environmental destruction, Catholic Church abuses, inhumane treatment of predominantly Muslim refugees on the Polish-Belarussian border, and aggression of Russia in Ukraine.
